, May 20 -- Police have warned that any attempt to take the law into one's own hands will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

In a press release issued on Tuesday Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Muhammad Tabibur Rahman, referred to the incident that took place around early hours of Tuesday when 15-20 men attempted to forcefully enter a house by breaking its gate in Dhanmondi.

Being informed through the national emergency service, police from Dhanmondi Police Station rushed to the scene and tried to stop the men and bring the situation under control. However, the group became aggressive towards the police.
