, Aug. 7 -- The students of Sunamganj Science and Technology University (SSTU) and Sunamganj Textile University (STI) blocked Sylhet-Sunamganj Highway for half an hour on Thursday demanding justice for three people including two students who died in a recent road accident.

They chanted various slogans demanding road safety and punishment of those responsible for the deaths.

Students started demonstration at 11 am, checked fitness and licenses of the vehicles, halting traffic on the highway for half an hour.

Bus strike on Sylhet-Sunamganj route withdrawn

Later, they withdrew the blockade following the request of police considering the sufferings of the HSC examinees.
