Dhaka, April 13 -- Final preparations are underway for a spectacular drone show to light up the night sky of capital Dhaka on Pahela Baishakh (April 14), the Bengali New Year - a decidedly new touch to the celebrations this year in post-Uprising Bangladesh, as official programmes rarely stretched past sunset.
The country is set to usher in the year 1432 in the Bengali calendar on Monday.
Demonstrating the arrangements, a trial run of the drone show was held on Saturday night in front of the National Parliament Building at Manik Mia Avenue, drawing the attention of the netizens for showcasing unique combination of technology and live music - most of which are planned for the festive occasion.
