Manikganj, July 6 -- Police arrested six members of a robber gang from different areas of Manikganj and Dhaka on Friday night over the robbery at the house of an expatriate in Saturia upazila.

The arrestees are Sohel Rana alias Masud Rana, 27, Dhamrai upazila, Abu Sayeed, 27, of Keraniganj upazila in Dhaka, Imam Hossain, 36, and Rafique Mia, 27, of Sadar upazila in Pirojpur, Md Miraz, 34, of Rajapur upazila in Jhalakati, and Mamun alias Julmat, 55, of Pabna.

On June 26, robbers looted gold ornaments and Tk 3.74 lakh in cash from the house of Wasim Mia, Bangladeshi expatriate living in Saudi Arabia.

Four family members were also injured in the attack by the robbers.
