Dhaka, March 24 -- Noted singer Shahnaz Rahmatullah died of heart attack early Sunday. She was 67.

Shahnaz breathed her last at her Baridhaara residence around 1:30am after suffering a heart attack, said lyricist Shafiq Tuhin.

Her namaj-e-janaza will be held at Park Mosque on road no. 9 in Baridhara after Zohr prayers.

Later, she will be buried at Banani Military Graveyard.

The prominent singer's notable songs are "Ekbar Jete De Na Amar Chotto Sonar Gaye, Je Chilo Drishtir Shimanay and Ek Tara Tui Desher Kotha".

Her main area of singing entails modern (Adhunik) songs and patriotic songs.
