Dhaka, June 27 -- bound Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight made an emergency return to Dhaka shortly after take-off due to engine-related issues, authorities said on Friday.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority the flight, BG 584, operated by a Boeing 737-800, departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:38am on Thursday. Shortly after take-off, at an altitude of around 2,500 feet, the captain reported engine complications and decided to return to Dhaka as a precaution.
The aircraft landed safely at 8:59am and was parked at Bay 14 of the airport. All 154 passengers and seven crew members on board were unharmed.
