Dhaka, Feb. 5 -- inspector of Uttara West Police Station has been withdrawn following the detention of three students of anti-discrimination movement in the capital's Uttara.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Abu Sayeed was closed after the incident, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Uttara Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Ahmed Ali said on Tuesday night.
"The action was taken based on complaints from the students and for bringing the three students to the police station," he added.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon when anti-discrimination students held a meeting on Gausul Azam Avenue in Sector 13, Uttara.
