Munshiganj, Feb. 12 -- Miscreants blasted several crude bombs in phases near Makhati Gurucharan High School polling centre in Sadar upazila of Munshiganj on Thursday, triggering panic among voters.

Five people were arrested in connection with the incident.

The arrestees are Rahmat Majhi, 42, Parvez Majhi, 27, Md Kamal, 37, Arshad Majhi and Salim Majhi.

The first explosion occurred around 10:15am, prompting law enforcers to heighten security in the area.
