Chattogram, Nov. 18 -- The Russian Navy vessel Gremyashchy arrived at Chattogram Port on Monday for a five-day goodwill visit aimed at strengthening naval cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia.

According to the ISPR, the ship was received at the port by the Chief Staff Officer of the Commander Chattogram Naval Area. A navy band performed as part of the traditional welcome ceremony, which was attended by senior officials of the Bangladesh Navy and the Russian military attache stationed in Dhaka.

Before docking in Chattogram, the visiting vessel was escorted in Bangladesh waters by the Bangladesh Navy ship BNS Umar Farooq.
