Savar, Jan. 11 -- Workers of three garment factories in Savar and Ashulia area of Dhaka staged demonstrations on Saturday and Sunday demanding payment of their dues.

Production of two garment factories in Ashulia was suspended following worker unrest, creating panic among the workers.

In Savar, workers of M-Ternet Garments at Rajashan Eidgah area have been protesting for the last two days, demanding payment of their wages and allowances on time.

The workers of the factory went on work abstention since Saturday to press home their demand.

They also staged demonstrations inside the factory and carried out vandalism.
