Dhaka, April 9 -- Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rains at one or two places in five divisions including Dhaka of the country in next 24 hours commencing 9am on Wednesday.

"Rains or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin.

During this period, weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, according to the bulletin.

Besides, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Sirajganj, Feni and Jashore and it may continue, reads it.
