, Feb. 27 -- Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted rains and thundershowers in Rangpur division in 24 hours from 9am on Thursday.

"Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of rains and thundershowers at one or two places over Rangpur division," said a Met office bulletin.

Besides, light fog may occur at places over the river basins of the country during late night to early morning, it said.

Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
