Dhaka, June 18 -- Women Entrepreneurs Network for Development Association (WEND) on Tuesday said that there is no reflection of women's expectations in the proposed budget.

"Tk 100 crore was allocated for women in the last budget but we didn't notice it this year. After analysing the budget, we can say that it didn't reflect our expectations," WEND President Dr Nadia Binte Amin told a press conference at ERF's auditorium in the capital.

She urged the government to establish a training institute to produce skilled women entrepreneurs who can play big roles in the country's economy.

"Skill is the biggest obstacle for women in competitive markets. So, there's no alternative to setting up a training institute," she said.
