Dhaka, Nov. 24 -- Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus on Monday held an emergency meeting with experts and officials concerned about earthquake preparedness and find effective ways to deal with emergencies.

The meeting, chaired by the Chief Adviser, was held at his office in Tejgaon, said the Chief Adviser's press wing.

The international community, including the United Nations in Bangladesh, European Union (EU), the Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), the US Embassy and the Embassy of France conveyed its deepest sympathies to the victims of recent earthquake, their families and all those affected.
