Dhaka, Nov. 21 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the casualties reported from house collapses and other incidents triggered by earthquake in the country on Friday morning.

So far at least five deaths, including a child, have been confirmed while nearly a hundred people, including Dhaka University students, factory workers in Gazipur, and residents of the quake's epicenter in Narsingdi injured.

In a condolence message, the Chief Adviser prayed for the departed souls and extended sympathy to the bereaved families.
