Dhaka, March 16 -- Dr Anindita Datta, an associate professor at the Radiology and Imaging Department at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), was allegedly harassed by a group of people on Sunday.

Dr Anindita, 38, daughter of former BSMMU Vice-Chancellor Dr Pran Gopal Datta, was on duty at the Radiology and Imaging Department when the incident took place.

Around 1:30 pm, a group of students, accompanied by local residents, entered the BSMMU premises and informed the hospital's administrative officer that Dr Anindita was an accused in a case, according to officials who spoke to UNB on condition of anonymity.
