Dhaka, Sept. 1 -- A four-wicket haul by Al Amin enabled BCB XI to restrict touring Afghanistan XI for 242 for 6 on the first-day of the two-day practice match at MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday.

Afghanistan won the toss and opted to bat first and made a good start scoring 131 runs in the opening stand, featuring fifties by two openers-- Ihsanullah scored 62 and Ibrahim Zadran posted 52.

Both of them were retired hurt to pave the way for the other batsmen to hone up their skills ahead of the one-off Test against Bangladesh starting from September 5 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city of Chattogram.
