, Jan. 24 -- A case has been filed in connection with the gun attack on a local BNP leader in Keraniganj on Thursday.

A family member of BNP leader Hasan Mollah filed the case with Keraniganj Model Police Station on Friday night, said M Saiful Alam, Officer-in-Charge of the police station.

Earlier on Thursday, two motorcyclists opened fire on Hasan Mollah, 45, son of Akar Mollah of Jagannathpur village under Keraniganj thana and general secretary of Hazratpur Union BNP during an election campaign in favour of Dhaka-2 constituency candidate Amanullah Aman, leaving him injured.

Later, he was first taken to Square Hospital and then to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
