Laxmipur, Feb. 4 -- Police have filed a case against businessman Sohel Rana and Jamaat leader Saurav Hossain Sharif over six illegally made election seals in Laxmipur.

Sohel Rana was arrested and produced in court on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Additional Police Superintendent (Administration & Finance) Hossain Mohammad Raihan Kazemi confirmed the matter.

The case was filed Tuesday night by SI Humayun Kabir of Lakshmipur Sadar Police Station.

Sohel Rana is from Tumchar village in Lakshmipur Sadar Upazila.

He owns Mariam Printers on Puraton Adalat Road in Laxmipur town.

Police seized six election seals, a computer, and a mobile phone from his shop based on a tip-off.
