Gazipur, Aug. 9 -- Rail communication between Dhaka and the northern districts has been postponed as the engine and a coach of Dhaka bound Padma Express derailed near Joydebpur Railway Junction of Gazipur on Saturday evening.
According to the railway and local sources, the train derailed while entering Joydebpur Railway Station because of a wrong point signal around 8:45 pm.
Nadir Uzzaman, the in-charge of Joydebpur Railway Outpost, informed that the incident also blocked Shibbari-Rajbari road as the parts of the train came off there.
