Dhaka, Sept. 15 -- The service areas of Padma Bridge are set to generate a total of 6,033 kilowatt-peak (kWp) of electricity through solar power.

This week, the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) signed an agreement with a private company to implement the project within six months.

The Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) recently conducted a feasibility study on solar power generation at the bridge.

According to the survey, Service Area-1 can produce 1,966 kWp, Service Area-2 about 2,948 kWp, and Service Area-3 around 1,119 kWp, amounting to a total potential of 6,033 kWp.
