Bangladesh, Sept. 27 -- Outgoing Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das on Sunday called on President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban.

President press secretary Joynal Abedin briefed reporters after the meeting.

The President said trade and investment have increased between Bangladesh and India for the improved road, rail, sea and air connectivity between the two countries.

Hamid said even during the Corona time, the initiative taken to transport goods experimentally by sea from Kolkata is highly commendable.

He hoped that the two countries would expand multi-dimensional communications and take initiative to utilize every field of cooperation in the future.
