Dhaka, March 22 -- One person was killed after being hit by a motorcycle in front of the Karmachari Hospital under Shahbagh Police Station in the capital.

The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, around 2:45pm.

The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed. Police us kThe estimated age is around 45 years.

Mahmud Hasan, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shahbagh Police Station, said, "Upon receiving the 999 call, he was released from the emergency department of the Karmachari Hospital and taken to the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital."
