Sylhet, Feb. 19 -- A woman was killed, and two others were injured in a collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Umanpur on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway.

The accident occurred on Tuesday evening in the Umanpur area of Jaintapur upazila, where the auto-rickshaw was severely damaged in the impact.

The deceased has been identified as Jumara Begum, wife of Dulal Ahmed from Baraband village in Kanaighat upazila.

According to locals, a passenger bus heading towards Jaflong collided head-on with a Sylhet-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw. The crash left one female passenger dead on the spot, while the auto-rickshaw driver and another passenger sustained injuries.
