Dhaka, April 25 -- The US and Oman confirmed their ODI status after an eventful day in the ICC World Cricket League Division 2 on Thursday.

They join Scotland, Nepal and the UAE in League 2, where they will play 36 ODIs each over a two-and-a-half year period on the road to Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, according to ICC.

Sandeep Goud guided Oman to get ODI status as well as confirm their spot in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 beating hosts Namibia by four wickets in the ICC World Cricket League match at Affies Park in Windhoek .

Earlier in the day Canada defeated Papua New Guinea. Xavier Marshall's century fired USA to beat Hong Kong by 84 runs at United Cricket Club ground in Windhoek to confirm their berth in League 2.
