Dhaka, Nov. 24 -- The Election Commission has suspended the national identity card (NID) services (correction and migration of voters) for the sake of preparation and printing the electoral rolls ahead of the next national election likely to be held in early February 2026.
"The NID services remain suspended from 4pm on Monday till further order," Director (Operations) of the National Identity Registration Wing Md Saiful Islam told the media.
The Election Commission on November 18 last published the final electoral rolls showing that the total number of the country's voters is nearly 12.77 crores ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.
