Dhaka, Jan. 27 -- Vice President of the Jagannath University Central Students' Union (JnUCSU), Md. Riazul Islam has alleged that Jagannath University (JnU) is facing discrimination at the University Grants Commission (UGC) due to the absence of any JnU faculty members there, claiming that a "syndicate" is operating the commission.

He made the remarks during a meeting with campus journalists held at the conference room of the Marketing Department on Monday.

Riazul Islam said, "There is a 'syndicate' working within the UGC. Only teachers from a single university are represented there. I cannot disclose many things openly, but we are facing numerous challenges. I seek the cooperation of journalists to help resolve these issues."
