, Sept. 14 -- The National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Sunday launched a new software called Tax Representative Management System (TRMS) to facilitate smooth and hassle-free online submission of income tax returns through authorised tax representatives.

Finance Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed inaugurated the system at the NBR Multipurpose Hall.

Developed jointly by NBR's income tax officials and IT programmers, the software is designed to digitise the taxpayer representation process and ensure greater efficiency and accountability in tax administration.

According to NBR, authorised representatives-empowered by taxpayers under the Income Tax Act-will be able to file returns online through TRMS after registering in the system.
