Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- BNP Standing Committee member and Chief Coordinator of the party's Election Management Committee Nazrul Islam Khan on Friday described the day as 'a significant one in Bangladesh's history.'

"The people have once again entrusted BNP with the opportunity to govern the country. For this, I thank Allah and express my gratitude to people," he told reporters at the Election Commission after reviewing election results.

He also praised the media for their coverage as it helped voters understand the party's future action plan and make informed choices.
