, June 25 -- The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change on Wednesday awarded individuals and institutions for their outstanding contributions to environmental protection, tree plantation and wildlife conservation at a grand ceremony marking World Environment Day 2025 and the Environment Fair and Tree Fair 2025.

Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan handed over the award, the National Environment Medal 2024, the National Award for Tree Plantation 2024 and distributed cheques among the highest profit-earning beneficiaries of social forestry at an event, held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.
