, Feb. 9 -- Police have rescued a leader of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad, the student wing of Gono Odhikar Parishad, from a house at Asrafabad Nabinagar in Dhaka's Kamrangirchar area.

Police rescued Rabiul Awal Antar, 30, son of Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district and assistant secretary of Chhatra Odhikar Parishad's central committee on Liberation War Affairs, from the area on Sunday morning.

Jewel Islam, officer-in-charge of Kalapara Police Station said Rabiul had gone missing on his way home from a business establishment at Kalapara Municipality town on Thursday.
