Dhaka, Feb. 13 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has sought the people's prayers so that he can honour his commitments and work for the country following his election as MP for Thakurgaon-1.
In a Facebook post after the announcement of the unofficial results on Thursday night, he expressed gratitude to the Almighty and described the outcome as the culmination of a long struggle.
"After a long 17-year struggle, today's victory is the victory of Bangladesh," he wrote.
