, Jan. 21 -- Mexico has transferred another 37 alleged members of drug cartels to the United States, the country's security minister said on Tuesday, amid rising pressure from the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump to curb cross-border drug trafficking.
Mexican Security Minister Omar Garcia Harfuch said in a post on X that those handed over were "high impact criminals" who "represented a real threat to the country's security."
The latest move marks the third such transfer in less than a year. Garcia Harfuch said Mexico has now sent a total of 92 detainees to the United States as it seeks to respond to mounting threats from Washington.
