Dhaka, March 1 -- UCEP Bangladesh and MetLife Foundation have jointly launched a program to train and certify 1,000 caregivers in Bangladesh.

The project titled 'Aponjon', is designed to empower underprivileged youth, women, and persons with disabilities by providing them with professional caregiver training, opening doors to employment opportunities both locally and internationally.

Caregivers play a critical role in assisting individuals with short or long-term needs due to age, illness, injury, or disability. With the average lifespan of the Bangladeshi population now reaching 73 years, the demand for skilled caregivers is on the rise.
