Dhaka, March 17 -- Following a disastrous campaign in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in the UAE and Pakistan, Bangladesh cricket is going through a transition period with some senior players waving goodbye to international cricket. But Mehidy Hasan Miraz says he sees a good future for the future of the country's cricket.

Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Tamim Iqbal stepped away from international cricket, Mehidy sees this as an opportunity for the next generation to step up.

"Currently, there are six to seven players in the team who have been playing international cricket for 7-10 years. They can't be considered new anymore," Mehidy recently told reporters at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
