Faridpur, May 5 -- year-old man was killed and 30 others injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over establishing supremacy at Makramputi village in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur district on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Kuddus Molla of the village.
Quoting local people, Ashraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Police Station, said Dabir Matubbar and Bazlu Munshi of Makramputi village had been at loggerheads over establishing dominance in the area.
On Sunday night, the supporters of both groups engaged into a heated argument over the issue, triggering a clash that left 31 people injured.
A chase and counter-chase took place during the clash.
