, Aug. 5 -- The 41st death anniversary of Rear Admiral Mahbub Ali Khan, also a former minister for communications and agriculture and father-in-law of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, will be observed on Wednesday.

Elaborate programmes have been arranged to observe the day with due respect, both at home and abroad.

The day's programmes will begin with the placing of floral wreaths at his grave, where Quran Khatam, Quran Khawani, and special prayers will be held. His grave is beside his favourite Naval Headquarters.
