Magura, March 9 -- Khulna highway at Bhaina Bus Stand on Sunday demanding exemplary punishment of the accused involved in the rape of an 8-year-old girl in Magura.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of students brought out a procession from the district town around 11 am and marched towards the court and surrounded the Magura District court.

On information, a team of police, Bangladesh Army rushed to the spot and asked them to leave the court area.

Later the students blocked Dhaka-Khulna highway, halting vehicular movement on the highway.

Ayub Ali, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said the mother of the victim filed a case against four people in this connection on Saturday afternoon.
