, Sept. 29 -- Lufthansa Group announced Monday that it plans to cut 4,000 jobs by 2030 through greater use of artificial intelligence, digitalization and streamlined operations across its airlines - even as it continues to benefit from robust air travel demand and forecasts higher profits in the coming years.

The German airline group said most of the job cuts will take place in Germany and will largely target administrative positions rather than frontline operational roles.
