Dhaka, Sept. 27 -- A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay & adjoining Central Bay of Bengal on October 1, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The well-marked low over Northwest Bay and adjoining Central Bay moved west-northwestwards which intensified into a depression on Friday crossed South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts at 6am on Saturday.

Now lies over South Odisha and adjoining area as a land Depression, said a Met office bullein.

It is likely to move nearly westward direction further and weaken gradually.

A mild heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Sylhet divisions and Rajshahi, Bogura and Chuadanga districts and it may abate.
