Dhaka, Feb. 1 -- Syeda Shameela Rahman Sinthi, wife of the late Arafat Rahman Koko, continued election campaigning in support of BNP Chairman and Dhaka-17 candidate Tarique Rahman for the second consecutive day on Sunday.
In the afternoon, Sinthi held a courtyard meeting with local residents at the T&T Colony adjacent to the Korail slum.
During the meeting, she sought votes and prayers from women voters for her brother-in-law Tarique Rahman.
Addressing the gathering, she said she was encouraged by the strong public response in favour of the 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol and expressed the hope that BNP will form the next government with people's mandate.
