Dhaka, Feb. 21 -- A fire that broke out near Talatola intersection in the garage zone of Khilgaon, Dhaka on Friday evening, was brought under control after nearly two hours of firefighting efforts.
The blaze was first reported at around 7:30 pm, prompting an immediate response from the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Initially, three fire service units rushed to the scene at approximately 7:35 pm and began efforts to control the flames.
As the fire spread, five additional units joined the operation.
Media officer of the Fire Service headquarters, Anwarul Islam, said that the fire was brought under control by 9:35 pm. "We are now conducting rescue operations," he added.
