Dhaka, July 1 -- BNP is set to hold a discussion titled 'Mass Uprising 2024: National Unity and Democratic Journey' at the China-Bangladesh Friendship Conference Centre in the capital on Tuesday afternoon, inaugurating its 36-day-long extensive programme to mark the first anniversary of the July-August mass uprising.

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia will virtually addressed the programme, scheduled to begin at 3pm as the chief guest, said Sayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the party's media cell.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is expected to inaugurate the event by joining virtually from the United Kingdom.

Sayrul said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir will attend the event as a special guest,...
