Dhaka, July 8 -- Nari Samhati, the women wing of Ganosamhati Andolon, on Monday demanded justice for seven-year-old Samia Afrin Saima, who was murdered after rape in the city's Wari area on Friday night.

The demand was made from a human chain formed by the leaders and activists of the organisation at Shahbagh intersection in the morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Taslima Akter, acting President of Nari Samhati, said rape and other forms of violence against women have been on the rise in the country for lack of 'democracy and justice' in the society.
