Dhaka, Nov. 5 -- Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar, a judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, has been removed from his position after being found unfit to discharge his duties properly.

The Ministry of Law issued a notification in this regard on Wednesday.

According to the notification, an investigation by the Supreme Judicial Council found that Justice Khurshid Alam is no longer capable of carrying out his judicial responsibilities.

In line with Clause (6) of the reinstated Article 96 of the Constitution, the President has removed him from office.
