, Feb. 27 -- Some staff of Narsingdi railway station have been physically assaulted allegedly by Mahmudul Hasan Chowdhury Sumon, convener of Narsingdi district town unit Jubo Dal, for not paying extortion.

Narsingdi station master Abu Taher Mohammad Musa submitted a written complaint to deputy commissioner Mohammad Rashed Hossain Chowdhury against the Jubo Dal leader on Wednesday.

The deputy commissioner said, "I have received a written complaint and necessary steps will be taken against those involved in the incident."
