Dhaka, Feb. 23 -- Secretary General of the Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) Quader Gani Chowdhury on Sunday said that journalism is a noble profession and the main goal of this is to work for the establishment of human rights.
"A true journalist enters this profession not for personal gain, but out of a deep sense of love and commitment to public service," he said while speaking at an event marking the 48th anniversary of the BFUJ union in Jashore.
He said that only journalists can save journalism, and for this, unity is essential. Journalism requires truthfulness, fairness, honesty, independence and accountability, Quader Gani said.
