, Oct. 24 -- Hollywood star Dakota Johnson is set to make her feature directorial debut with A Tree is Blue, written by and reportedly featuring her Cha Cha Real Smooth co-star Vanessa Burghardt.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, singer Charli XCX and actress Jessica Alba are also in talks to join the project, which is scheduled to begin production next month in Los Angeles.

While details about the film's plot remain under wraps, A Tree is Blue marks Johnson's transition to directing after her short film Loser Baby, which premiered at last year's Toronto International Film Festival.
