Dhaka, July 10 -- year-old man, who sustained burn injuries in an explosion apparently from gas leak at a building in the capital's Jatrabari area, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday afternoon, rising the death toll from the incident to two.

The deceased was identified as Ripon, husband of one Eti who also died in the incident.

Earlier, three members of the family, including the duo, sustained serious burn injuries in the explosion around 1:40am on the ground floor flat of a six-storey building on Shahid Faruk Road in the Jatrabari area.

Of them, Ripon, 40, suffered 70 percent burns, his wife Eti, 30 suffered 45 percent burns and their daughter Rafia, aged around 3 to 5 years, who sustained 90 percent burns, ...
