Dhaka, July 18 -- e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher on Thursday alleged that a 'hidden force' seems to be influencing the government, judging from what he describes as its apparent weakness and indecision.

Speaking at a rally organised jointly by Jamaat's Dhaka South and North units protesting the attack on NCP in Gopalganj, the senior Jamaat leader said the people of the new Bangladesh, earned through the blood and sacrifices of thousands of students and people, are not afraid but deeply concerned.

Referring to the incident in Gopalganj, he said his discussion with the Home Adviser gave him the impression that the latter is 'helpless.'
